Chimney, a quiet Himalayan village 8 km from Kurseong, is named after a 23-foot, century-old chimney built during World War I for British officers. Nearby Bagora, at 7,150 feet, is the highest point in Kurseong subdivision. Chimney offers scenic viewpoints, including views of Sandakphu on clear days. Restored as the ‘Chimney Heritage Garden’ by the Forest Department, it’s a nature lover’s paradise with stunning vistas of Kanchenjunga and the Teesta and Mahananda rivers.
